Notts dads support group

For fathers/ grandfathers of kids on the autistic spectrum, there’s a group who meet up once a month in and around Nottingham/Mansfield.

I have been attending these for a long time and it’s a great little informal meet-up. Usually it takes place in a pub and involves the dads getting together and having a chat. Informal support is always available and it’s great to get advice on something that is affecting you and your kid(s). The collective knowledge of the group is an excellent resource to have available,

Kieran Lee runs the group and will hopefully be coming in to introduce the group at one of the spectrumwasp meetings soon.

They normally meet at 7pm on the last Tuesday of the month, and often do activities like golf, bowling and pool.

The next meeting is Bowling next Tuesday 29th March at the Superbowl in Mansfield Town Centre at the slightly later time of 8:00 pm

For more information please contact Kieran at kieran.lee@nottscc.gov.uk

or join the facebook group – login to facebook then either enter ‘Notts Dads Forum’ in the search box at the top of the page, or click on this link www.facebook.com/groups/dadsforum . Once on the group page (which, for non-members, doesn’t seem to show anything other than the wall), click on the ‘Ask to join group’ button in the top right hand corner of the screen. Then you have to wait for an admin to approve the request
