Welcome to Spectrum WASP, we are a local support group for Parents/Carers in Mansfield and surrounding areas supporting Children and Young people on the Autistic spectrum, including, Asperger’s Syndrome, ADHD, ADD, Complex special and additional needs.

On Saturday 24th November we was invited by Sainsburys in Mansfield to do a Fundraising Bag Pack as we are there chosen Charity of the Year
Its always great fun to go into the Store with our Parents/Children and raise awareness within our Local Community of Spectrum WASP
We also had some special guests on the day from the The Drum and Bugle Corps who played wonderfully outside the store greeting shoppers on there way in
We are thrilled to announce we raised a HUGE £587.46 which will help sustain Spectrum WASP activities in 2019
A BIG Thank You to Sainsburys… All our Parents/Young Children and Everyone in our Local Community who helped to make this such a success
What a fantastic evening at our annual Fashion Show with Blue Sky Fashion on November 16th @ Blidworth Miners Welfare…There was some great bargains to be had with an amazing total raised on the night of £168.09 which will help fund our Children’s Christmas Party in December

Come along to our annual Fund Raising Fashion Show @ The Blidworth Miners Welfare on Friday 16th November 2018 and Support Spectrum WASP…doors open at 6.30pm with the show starting at 7.00pm
Designer high street stores and top range ladies garments being sold at a fraction of the normal price….Styles to suit all ages ranging in sizes 8-22+
Door prize and raffle on the night with one lucky person winning a fantastic Prize… Refreshments available
Tickets are £3 each and can be purchased via Sue or Jeni at Spectrum WASP or are available to pay on the door
Half Term was ghoulishly fun at Spectrum WASP…Beginning with a trip to Crich Tramway Village on Tuesday 3oth October
It was a great turn out with 66 Children/Families attending the Starlight Galatic Theme day at the Tram Village…The children loved the Tram rides, meeting some of the Star Wars Characters and the Enchanting walk through the Woodlands spotting some fairy homes hiding along the way
As the day light faded and darkness set in, the Tramway Village lit up which was amazing and magical for all to see
Wednesday 31st October…Halloweennnnnnnnnn @ Rufford Park
Rufford Park was great fun for all the family with Catra from Vision at West Notts joining us to do some creepy Arts and Crafts and Lorraine from Butterfly Effex painting faces
Once the indoor activities had finished some of the Children went on to do a Monster Trail around the grounds of Rufford Park
Our final day of Activities was Friday 2nd November finishing off with a trip to our Autism Friendly Screening at Mansfield Odeon Cinema to see the new ‘Hotel Transylvania 3’ Movie…
With the sound turned down and the lights up it was a perfect relaxing end to a fun filled week
We would just like to take this opportunity to Thank Everyone involved in making our Half Term Activity Programme so Wonderful for all our Children/Young Adults and Families
A massive £832.73 was raised at the Four Seasons Shopping Centre at the ‘One Great Day’ Fundraising event…
We split the amount raised equally with the Great Ormond Street Hospital which was just amazing to be able to support such a wonderful hospital
This wouldn’t have been possible without the Help & Support from the Management, Staff and all Customers at the Four Seasons Shopping Centre….We would just like to say a massive “Thank You” to Everyone involved for all your continued Support
What great morning we had @ Pine House on the 1st October hosting our ‘China Tea Cup’s’ Coffee morning…
The Tea & Coffee was flowing and the wonderful homemade Cakes kindly donated went down a treat…
A total of £61.89 was raised on the day which was donated to The John Eastwood Hospice in Mansfield
We would also like to say a BIG Thank You to Sainsburys in Mansfield whom we have been chosen to be there Charity of the Year for there kind donation of a £20 Gift Voucher of which we used as a door prize on the day of our Coffee Morning
We are delighted to announce that the winner on the day was Heather Johnston who was just so surprised and thrilled as she said its the first time she’s ever won
